Trace heating

Trace heating is often used in industry to protect pipes, boilers, pumps and other appliances from frost in winter or to keep warm water on hold. It involves heating the installations by means of an electric heating element which is wrapped around them. KAEFER has installed this resistor tape and wiring, which is mostly made of plastic with integrated carbon particles, at the Swedish Preemraff refinery for example.

Trace heating is also used in guttering, floors, cold stores, for warm water pipes in buildings and as frost protection in concreted areas. We provide the original drafts and the final documentation. Our innovative, self-regulating systems have a number of advantages, in particular the fact that they save energy.
